Getting income from your money.
Bonds are fixed-income investments that most often generate a stream of income for as long as you own the
bond, and return your principal (the amount of your original investment) at a specified time in the future.
Bonds are attractive to people who need an income, such as retirees who count on investment income to help
cover living expenses. Investors who are unable to tolerate the risks of stock market investing may also
prefer the lower risks of bonds.
